How to Select Multiple Cells in Excel? ?
Before you decide to select multiple cells in excel, you have to make sure whether you want to select a series of cells in sequence or, you want to select multiple cells randomly.
For the first purpose, you have to select a cell first, then hold the left click of the mouse pointer and drag the mouse pointer towards the last cell, which you want to be selected. After you have reached to the last cell, release the mouse left click button.
For the second purpose, you have to hold CTRL key and start clicking on the cells , which you want to be selected.
How to Insert Data into Cells?
In order to add data into the cells of excel, first you have to select the cell, in which you want the data to be inserted, and then start typing the Text or numbers.
How to Delete data from Cells in Microsoft Excel?
If you want to delete data from excel cells, Select the cells first and then press delete button from keyboard. There is another method of deleting data. First you have to select the cells, and then look for Home Tab, within Home Tab, you have to look for Editing Command Group. In Editing Command Group, you will find and option with the name "Clear". There will be an Eraser like icon. You have to click on it to remove the data from cells.
What is the purpose of selecting cells in excel?
This is one of the easiest question to answer. Why would you select the cells.. Simple, if you want to insert or delete the data, apply certain formatting, apply formula, you have to select the Cell(s) first.
